These are the workhorses of taxidermy screws. Grabbers provide maximum holding power in wood and urethane foam. Patented thread design starts quickly and penetrates easily. Self starting. Designed for use in power screwdrivers. Great for skull plates, attaching mannikins to mounting stands, panels, etc. (Always pre-drill screw holes in hardwood panels and skull plates to prevent splitting.) Standard #2 Phillips recess in bugle head. The unthreaded shaft below the head of the 3" Grabber screw makes this the perfect screw for attaching shoulder mounts to panels. The tighter it is turned, the more snug the attachment.
