Fiberglass Mold Release Agents

Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA)
This mold release material is necessary when doing fiberglass work. Before applying Gelcoat to any part to be cast in fiberglass resin, first it should be covered with three to five coats of PVA to ensure easy mold release. PVA may be applied with either a sprayer or a brush. Allow the PVA to air dry completely before proceeding with Gelcoat or Lay-Up resin. Do not store near a heat source. Clean up with soap and warm water. Flammable material. Shipping a gallon requires a hazardous materials surcharge. Cannot be shipped by air.
