Moldex Dual Cartridge Paint & Vapor Respirator
When painting with lacquer-based airbrush paints, the use of a paint and vapor respirator is strongly recommended. This dual-element air purifying respirator is manufactured by Moldex, a leader in the field of occupational safety equipment. The faceplate is made from a soft rubber to conform to the contours of your face. It is held in place by means of a fully adjustable plastic cradle headband and neck straps. Purified air is admitted through the twin cartridges when inhaling. The rubber exhalation valve assembly allows exhaled air to escape through the front of the mask. Fully assembled. Includes organic vapor cartridges rated for mists of paints, lacquers and enamels. This mask is designed to be semi-disposable. It will last through about 50 painting sessions. After that, throw it away and get a new one. The useful life of a chemical cartridge for vapors will vary with the concentration and nature of the gas contaminant. The cartridge should be replaced as soon as the vapor is detected through the cartridge by the wearer. You can extend the life of your respirator by storing it in the resealable package that it comes in.
