Fish Skinning Knife
If you had to choose the ONE item that is the most universally endorsed (and used) taxidermy tool of the 20th century, then this would have to be it. The original Diehm fish skinning knife is used by almost every fish taxidermist that we know of. Its unique design allows easy separation of the skin from the meat of fish, without tearing, cutting or damaging delicate skin. Saves time, labor and repairs. Lasts for decades and never needs sharpening! One of these knives will easily skin thousands of fish without the need for any maintenance. Simply pull the skin away while stroking the meat with light pressure. If you're having trouble skinning fish, then this knife will be the answer to your problems. If this sounds too good to be true, just ask any of the thousands of taxidermists who rely on this knife day in and day out.

Fish Skinning Shears
Don't confuse these shears with inexpensive look-alikes. They are manufactured by Wiss, the Rolls Royce of cutting tools since 1848, and are tough enough to handle collarbones, fin roots and back bones with ease yet they are sharp enough to cleanly cut through a piece of tissue paper! These heavy-duty shears are an excellent general-purpose fish skinning tool and are built to last for professional use. Used by leading fish taxidermists. Industrial-quality, solid steel, hot drop-forged. Includes closing latch. Coil spring in handle opens blades after each cut. Straight polished blades with black handles.

Effectively removes the flesh from fish skin without tearing or stretching the skin. Pull the blade up and down over the flesh side of the fish skin -- not along the length of the fish. Also works great for snakes.

Fleshing Horn (Fish Gullet Fleshing Beam)
Designed by taxidermist Steve Miller, this handy urethane fleshing horn is perfect for hand fleshing small or large game. But it has another use that is very handy for one of taxidermy's sloppiest problems -- fleshing the meat from the fish's esophagus. Simply insert the horn through the mouth into the esophagus until it is stretched tightly. You can then easily scrape the meat from the outside of the gullet with a Jim Hall Fleshing Tool.
