Fish Fillers

Tom Sexton Fish Filler
This is an excellent lightweight fish filler developed and used by World Champion Tom Sexton. Useful for mounting fish with the half cast or fill methods. Good lightweight creamy mixture that readily accepts pins when dry, yet holds together nicely with adequate strength. Simply mix with water. The set time is approximately 20 minutes which allows adequate time for shaping.

WASCO High Fiber
Safe, non-toxic and strong asbestos substitute. Useful as a filler and extender in hide paste and mache formulas. High fiber is also the ideal material for making mold beds for casting fish re-creations. Simply mix high fiber with water for a perfect sculptable bed for all molds. Add a little Lysol, store in an air-tight plastic bag, and you can reuse the wet high fiber many times.

WASCO Molding Plaster
Number one grade premium white molding plaster. Mixes to a creamy smooth consistency for making highly detailed molds, study casts, fish filling casts, death masks, snake re-creations, fish re-creations, reinforcing mother molds, mache formulas, and many other uses. Simply add plaster powder to water and mix. Within a few minutes the plaster mixture will go through a heat and harden. Allow to cure (dry) at room temperature for about a week, or you can force cure it overnight in a slightly warm oven (with the door cracked open to allow moisture to escape.) After force curing, allow the plaster to cool down for about two hours before handling. For re-creations and study casts, the first coat of plaster should be mixed thinner than usual (with more water) to pick up maximum detail (this is called the splash coat.)
