How to Set a Deer Eye Using WASCO Water-Based Clay
|
Step 1 Put a small amount of clay on the back of the glass eye and smooth it out flat. Insert the eyes into the orbits on the mannikin and level the pupil horizontally. |
Step 2 Model in the bottom eyelid with a small portion of clay. Use reference to achieve the proper contour. |

Step 3 Place a piece of clay along the upper front quadrant of the eye to create the fullness of the lid. Use refernece for angle and shape. |
Step 4 Use another piece of clay to model the upper rear lid of the eye. This clay should cover half the distance between the top of the eye and the pupil. |

Step 5 Use a modeling tool to form the crease along the upper lid. Hold the modeling tool at a 45 degreee angle to slant it in the right direction. |
Step 6 Once both eyes have been properly modeled, check to make sure both eyes are open the same amount by using a Measurite. |
