How to Use Jim Hall Fish Mounting Mache

Step 1 Press a thin layer of Jim Hall Mache onto the smooth skin of the throat, into the front of the head, and all the fin roots. Apply hide paste to your fish mannikin and insert it into the skin.

Step 2 To shape and secure the throat skin, simply "push" the cut edge of this skin up to the last gill while forcing out any excess mache. Smooth the skin of any lumps.

Step 3 Fill the cheeks by first overstuffing them with Jim Hall Mache (force the mache into every corner of the cheek pockets), then shape them naturally flat by pinching them, forcing the excess mache out through the eye sockets.
