WASCO Tanner's Salt
WASCO Tanner's Salt is fine-grained and non-iodized. The salting process is vitally important for both preventing the hair from slippage and preparing the skin for the tanning process. Regardless of the method of tanning you choose, when preparing mammal skins you should thoroughly cover the flesh side of the skin with salt, rubbing it all over and into the entire cape to ensure penetration. This process will draw the moisture from the cape to set the hair and retard bacterial damage.
