Krowtann 2000 Krowtann 2000 Instructions
WASCO is proud to offer this amazing new tanning solution that is sweeping the industry. Enthusiastically endorsed by National Champion taxidermists Rick Carter, Don Stevens, and Brian Harness, Krowtann 2000 is so easy to use that it is virtually error-proof. No salting, no pH checks and no oiling is required to produce an excellent mountable tanned skin. It's as easy as 1-2-3! Just rough flesh the hide, mix the Krowtann solution with water and salt and submerge the skin for 3 to 4 days, neutralize with baking soda, and do the final fleshing. The skin is now ready to mount immediately, or be frozen for mounting later. That's it! Krowtann produces a stretchy white leather which mounts beautifullly for maximum detail. The 32 oz. container of Krowtann 2000 will effectively tan 4 large deer capes or 8 lifesize bobcat skins. Instructions included.

Knobloch's Liqua-Tan
An excellent product for permanently tanning mammal skins for taxidermy. Developed and formulated by taxidermist and tanning chemist Dale Knobloch of Maine, Liqua-Tan is used by many leading taxidermists for all in-house tanning. Easy to use, Liqua-Tanned skins can be mounted the same day or dried and handled as a tanned skin. Produces a skin with excellent stretch and no messy residue. Compatible with all hide pastes. One quart will effectively tan about eight average sized deer capes. A gallon will do about 32 capes. Even a beginner can get professional results the very first time.

Knobloch's Para-Tan
A new, unique tanning agent designed specifically for taxidermy. Para-Tan is a complex of polymerized aluminum salts that eliminates the problems associated with alum tanned skins such as short shelf life and lack of stretch. Will not hydrolize and cause deterioration, gives excellent stretch, will not wash out, good hair setting ability, and won't yellow.

Rittel's Kwik-N-Eze Tanning Solution
Here's a quick and easy way to tan and oil in one step developed by tanning expert Bruce Rittel. It is truly a tanning kit in a bottle. This paint-on type tanning solution is safe to handle and simple to use. It produces consistently reliable results at reasonable prices. For best results, follow the directions on the container (non-iodized salt is also required). It will tan everything from weasels to deer, and even thicker skins when properly shaved. Dries quickly and deeply penetrates. Kwik-N-Eze produces a white leathered, pliable and stretchy skin ideal for taxidermy or crafts. Since there's no waste it is very economical. Kwik-N-Eze is the answer for mounting commercial deer heads with confidence. One quart will tan about 4 to 6 full deer capes.

Bollmann's Mammal Tanning Cream
This professional tanning cream produces a complete, lasting tan. Developed by Larry Bollmann, a highly respected expert in the field of tanning, fur dressing, taxidermy and chemistry, this product contains tannins, softening oils and a penetrating compound that drives the cream deep within the skin. It contains no harmful phenol or formaldehyde. It's safe and easy to use. A complete step-by-step instruction sheet accompanies each order. Also works good on snakeskins. For the entire Bollmann's tanning procedure, you will also need Prowash, Bactericidal Tablets, Salt, Grease-Buster, Acid Bath Crystals, Ultra Soft and baking soda. Bollmann's mammal tanning system produces results comparable to commercially-tanned skins. (Formerly known as "True-Tan.")

BASF's Lutan® F Mammal Tanning System
This is one of the very best tanning systems in the world. BASF's Lutan® F has been used for years in many of the top commercial tanneries as well as individual shops of some of today's top taxidermists. It is easy to use after salting, pickling and shaving, a simple one-step soaking process does the trick. The directions are easy to follow, and it produces consistent results every time. BASF's Lutan® F creates a nice white-colored tanned skin with excellent stretch and pliability for mounting. It has been the favorite tan for years of such notable mammal taxidermists as Brent Houskeeper, Bob Elzner, Jim Hall, and many others. Free illustrated instruction sheet is included with any Lutan-F order. One ounce by weight of BASF's Lutan® F effectively tans 1 lb. of raw skin. For optimum results, we suggest that you also use non-iodized salt, acid bath crystals, baking soda, and Soft Tan tanning oil.

Rittel's EZ-100
Rittel's EZ-100 -- the newest and highest quality synthetic tanning agent available! This is a powdered syntan tanning agent that eliminates environmental and personal handling problems. It costs less -- because you use less -- to tan more! EZ-100 is your best environmental choice. It contains no metallic components. EZ-100 is a sulphonic acid agent synthetically manufactured. EZ-100 produces tanned skins and capes that are white leathered, soft, durable, and stretchy! They look prime and clean. There is negligible shrinkage. EZ-100 tanned skins are an excellent choice for taxidermy purposes or garment use. Use 1/2 oz. of EZ-100 for each pound of skin.
