How to Use the Ultimate Antler Mount Cover
|
Step 1 Attach hanger to back of panel. Cut the skull evenly at an angle that allows the rack to lean towards the wall. The antler burr should be about 3/8" from panel. |
Step 2 Drill two holes in the skull -- one on either side. |
|
Step 3 For placement on an 11" panel, measure 8" from bottom of panel. This should center the antler base vertically. Center horizontally and attach skull to panel. |
Step 4 To determine where to cut AMC1, measure the distance on the skull between the two antler bases. |
|
Step 5 Measure 5" from bottom of the AMC1. Put a small pencil mark at this point in the center from side to side. |
Step 6 Measure across at this point, centering the measurement from Step 4. |
Step 7 Punch a small hole on each side of the measurement. Turn cup over and use the holes as reference to draw a circle for cutting. |
Step 8 Measure the diameter of the pedicals below where the antler bases attach to the skull. |
|
Step 9 Use measurement from Step 8 to determine the hole size to cut. Cut hole on each side below and centered on the punched holes in Step 7. Then at the bottom of hole cut each side to open the holes. |
Step 10 Try the AMC1 on the skull. If the AMC1 doesn't fit flat on the panel, further trimming will be needed. Usually cutting the circle larger at the bottom is needed. |
|
Step 11 When fitted correctly, nail the two decorative nails in the holes provided at top and bottom of AMC1. |
Step 12 Wrap and tuck ends of braided yarn several times around at each base. |
