Treasure Gold Rub-On Metallic Wax

World Champion fish taxidermist Tom Sexton uses Gold Rub-on Metallic Wax to tip the scales on all his largemouth bass mounts (including his Best in the World, Best of Show bass). Tom thins the gold wax with mineral spirits (or Sallie Dahmes Brush Magic) and applies it to the scales with a small artist's brush. Some wildlife artists lightly rub the wax with their finger to highlight the scales. Brush Magic and cotton swabs are used to remove unwanted wax. The final step is to apply the gloss in a normal manner to seal the wax against further damage. Polytranspar gloss coats and paints are fully compatible with these waxes. 0.106 fl. oz. (3mL) volume. 0.24 oz. (6.8 gr.) net weight. (Shipping weight 1 oz.)
