In this new offering from World Champion bird taxidermist Frank Newmyer, information is presented for the first time explaining methods for mounting and recreating birds of prey. Frank joins forces with the extraordinary talents of Glen Browning, Jim Day and Thurson Grobek to present five unique taxidermy and recreation projects. Glen Browning from Canada shows his detailed method for skin mounting a sharp-shinned hawk on an original mannikin. Frank teams up with Thurston Grobek to demonstrate the procedures for large birds with a turkey vulture. World Champion recreationist Jim Day shows how to create a legal bald eagle from the feathers of readily available species, and Frank teams up with Jim Day to produce a snowy owl recreation. In the final demonstration, Frank Newmyer mounts a peregrine falcon. Plastic comb binder. 8 1/2" x 11". No color photos. Click here for more information about this book.
