1997 NTA Taxidermist of the Year

On June 28, 1997, Rick Carter of Georgia scored a perfect 100 in the Division of Excellence with this outstanding boar and was named Taxidermist of the Year at the NTA Convention in Buffalo, New York. We congratulate Rick, who becomes the first person in history to win Taxidermist of the Year two times. In addition to achieving the higest scoring mount in the competition, Rick also took top honors in the Sculpting and Original Art Division, winning both People's Choice and Judges Choice Best of Show with the European boar sculpture shown below. Rick used products from WASCO exclusively on both of these entries, including the outstanding boar mannikins and accessories he has developed for WASCO over the past two years.
