It's back for '95
at a competition near you!
The WASCO Award is back for the 1995 competition season. In state, regional and national competitions across North America, judges will be choosing the most artistic entry to receive this prestigious honor. Along with the unique polished acrylic diamond goes a $100.00 WASCO gift certificate.
The winner will be chosen by the judges from all competition entries based upon the following criteria:
EXHIBITION OF TAXIDERMY The entry should tastefully display both the subject as well as the taxidermy profession in a favorable light. The taxidermy should be of good competition caliber, without any obvious flaws from a normal viewing distance.
CREATIVITY Original ideas sucessfully executed will be given high consideration for this award.
ARTISTIC MERIT The entry will be judged as a three-dimensional work of art. Composition, color, and general artistic appeal will be carefully considered.
This award is made available to state, regional, and national competitions free of charge. It does not matter which taxidermy supply company's paints, mannikins, or supplies are used in the piece.
If your organization would like to offer the WASCO Award for the Most Artistic Entry at your next convention, please call or write to us at the address below.
