This outstanding Rainbow Trout mount captured the top fish taxidermy award at the 2002 National Taxidermists Association Convention in Columbia, Missouri, receiving the only North American Champion title awarded for a fish entry.

North American Champion and the Matt Thompson Award

Besides receiving the only North American Champion Fish title awarded at the convention, Mike Ross also won the prestigious Matt Thompson Award with the beautiful Chum Salmon pictured above. This piece was also awarded second place in the Challenge of the Art of Taxidermy competition.
